Temporary restrictions were introduced from 06:20 Moscow time at Izhevsk and Kazan airports, the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.

Kazan and Izhevsk airports have introduced temporary restrictions

Airports do not accept or dispatch flights. It was clarified that measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.

The exact reason for the temporary restrictions is unknown.The Federal Air Transport Authority said in a statement: “Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is main priority”.

This week, the airport in Kazan suspended operations three times. Additionally, suspensions of departure and arrival schedules have been established at Penza, Ulyanovsk, Nizhnekamsk, Saratov and Samara airports.
