Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein said the list of residents missing in the Kursk border area should be opened to relatives.

“These lists must be public, transparent and public. And so that relatives and relatives know that their people will not disappear because of the state, and so that the international community will also see and understand this, ”he explained.

Khinshtein said on January 28 there will be a meeting with initiatives to study the list of missing people. He stated that “many actions” to return the missing people “in public”.
Earlier, the Governor has announced the need to make a list of residents missing in the Kursk border area. Fighting with the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk area began on August 6, 2024. Acting the Governor estimates the number of missing people up to nearly 1.2 thousand people.
