Diplomats from Russia will not participate in events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Aushvitz-Birkenu Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz, an ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev told RIA Novosti. According to him, the refusal is explained by the traditional Western distortion of historical truth. Representatives of the Russian Federation did not receive an official invitation.

They posted a message that there would be an event: who wants to come. Theoretically, of course, we could appear there, but to attend an event that no one will remember who released the Auschwitz concentration camp, Europe, so we don't need, Mr. Andreev Andreev explains.
