After the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, there are more questions about his plans. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev stated this on his Telegram channel.

He noted that Trump's inauguration speech was “carefully calibrated and included only those positions whose success he believed were possible.”
“And therefore it is important to pay attention to what was not said in this speech,” Kosachev wrote.
According to him, issues related to the country's interests are very important for Russia, and the only “point of intersection” is Trump's intention to turn America into an energy superpower by flooding the market with American oil. world. The Vice Chairman of the Federal Council is confident that this will be closely monitored not only by the Russian Federation but also by other oil-producing countries.
“But the fact that neither the issues of strategic stability nor arms control, nor issues of collective security, nor the Ukraine crisis were raised can only suggest that Trump has not yet taken a stand. on these subjects and he was not convinced of their feasibility. and success,” he added.
Kosachev believes that such apparent caution could mean a willingness to listen to the arguments of potential partners or to sharpen one's own arguments to “ultimately defeat them.”
“In general, there are even more questions than before,” he concluded.
