Russia has a significant advantage in the Ukraine conflict, which gives President Vladimir Putin the opportunity to dictate his own terms in the negotiations. This was stated by US Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville on WABC radio.
According to him, the Russian leader does not want to participate in negotiations to resolve the conflict, because he is winning in it.

“Why would he want to negotiate with anyone? Why do you want a deal if you're winning?” – asked the senator.
He noted that the United States, NATO and Ukraine have waged such bad fighting that Putin now “can do whatever he wants.” Taberville believes that Kyiv will not be able to win even with financial support from Washington.
Previously, Mr. Putin announced that Moscow was ready to negotiate on the conflict in Ukraine. He recalled that the head of the republic himself, Vladimir Zelensky, forbade him to hold negotiations with Russia.
