A woman who stole perfume at an Asian airport faces the risk of spending many years in prison

On Thursday, December 23, employees of four stores at Asia Airport discovered some items missing and reported them to the police. It was determined that their total amount was 1.1 thousand Singapore dollars (about 79 thousand rubles).

Law enforcement officers conducted an investigation and arrested the suspect – she turned out to be a 62-year-old Indian citizen. According to preliminary data, the woman entered the stores and stole various goods, hiding them in hand luggage. If convicted, she could face a fine or seven years in prison.

Previously, at this same airport in Singapore, a passenger was arrested on suspicion of cargo theft nearly two months after the incident. A belt worth $800 and cosmetics worth $600 disappeared from stores in the transit area.
